Congenital broncho-oesophageal fistula associated with tracheal agenesis.
A male infant was born after 37 weeks of an uncomplicated fourth pregnancy to a 21-year-old woman whose previous obstetric history included one abortion and one stillbirth. The infant was delivered by spontaneous breech and did not breathe or cry at birth. متن کاملCONGENITAL BRONCHO-ESOPHAGEAL FISTULA: A CASE REPORT
Congenital broncho-esophageal fistula (BEF) is a rare anomaly usually detected in adulthood. In one of the latest reviews of this anomaly, no more than 150 cases were found in the world literature. We report our experience with a 49 year old male patient referring with a classic presentation of chronic cough and choking episodes upon liquid intake. Broncho-esophageal fistula was confirmed b...
متن کاملTracheal Agenesis with Tracheo-oesophageal Fistula.
Tracheal Agenesis (TA) presents with respiratory distress at birth. Diagnosis requires recognition of clinical signs in newborns like failure of endotracheal intubation, respiratory distress with absent air entry over both side of chest and inaudible cry. We describe a TA Floyd Type I with a Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) without other congenital malformations.
